The complete grading workflow
Grading events
Create named grading events with date, location, and notes. Candidates are linked to the event — promotions recorded at the event become part of the permanent grading history.
Candidate selection
Pull promotion-ready students directly from your roster. Gate status is shown for each candidate so you can confirm readiness before adding them to the event.
Bulk promotion recording
Record multiple promotions simultaneously. Belt history updates for every student immediately. No need to navigate to individual profiles for each promotion.
Instructor sign-offs
Collect sign-offs from instructors before grading day. Sign-off status is visible per candidate on the promotion hub. No sign-offs fall through the cracks.
Belt history with event references
Every promotion links back to the grading event where it occurred. Students can see the full context of each belt award — not just the date, but the ceremony it was part of.
Stripe awards
Award stripes individually or in bulk. Stripe history is managed in the same interface as belt promotions — a single record for the complete progression.
How a ClubEasy grading works
Create a grading event
Name the event, set the date and location, and add any notes. The event is now open to accept candidates.
Add promotion candidates
Select students from your roster. Their real-time gate status is pulled automatically — you can see who is fully ready and who has outstanding criteria.
Check instructor sign-offs
Review sign-off status for each candidate. Chase outstanding approvals before grading day so there are no surprises.
Record promotions during or after the ceremony
Select the new belt and stripe count for each student and confirm. Belt history updates automatically. The event is linked to each promotion permanently.
Gates reset for promoted students
Every promoted student's gate progress resets to the new belt's criteria. The clock on days-in-rank starts from today. They are now working toward the next belt.
